Reflections from ER-WCPT General Meeting in Limassol, Cyprus

Physiotherapy Associations from 34 countries have met for three days in the sunny and wonderful Limassol, Cyprus.

It has been three intensive good days of meeting, networking, learning and sharing. From the Swedish Association of Physiotherapists we are happy to see that our message about the strategy and vision but also the importance of movement – no more long sitting days- was well recieved.

As I wrote in an earlier blog post it is important that we as an organization and as a profession are involved in the global and European agenda on health. We need to show that we can make a difference and that we can contribute to the goals on health that the global and European society has formulated. Our engagement in this must be visible in the strategic plan.

Sweden and the other Nordic countries were actively involved in the discussions and made an impact for the coming years. Thanks for great days. We worked hard and played hard! Next General Meeting will be in Dublin 2018. Good bye Cyprus!
